1. Introduction

Ticket validators available in public transport vehicles in Suwałki are modern self-service devices that are used to:

1. purchase of electronic tickets assigned to a bank contactless payment card,
2. checking the validity of electronic tickets purchased in the ticketing system and assigned to the bank's contactless payment card and the Suwałki Communication Card,
3. validate paper tickets with a 2D code,
4. check the validity of paper tickets with a 2D code.

A ticket in the validating machine in the vehicle can be purchased using a payment card with a contactless function.

With a payment card, you can buy single-ride, timed and periodic tickets at the validating machine.

How to buy a ticket?

1. select the ticket you want to buy on the touchscreen of the validator or press the "Normal Season Tickets" or "Reduced Season Tickets" buton,
2. after selecting the ticket, place the payment card on the card reader located directly under the touch screen of the validator,
3. after purchasing a ticket, the validator displays information about the acceptance of payment.

REMARK! Validator sells tickets only in electronic form. The validator does not print tickets or transaction confirmations on paper.

In the validating machine, you can check the validity of your electronic ticket purchased in the ticket system, i.e. at ticket sales points, the Suwałki Communication Card web portal, as well as the ticket validator itself.

The ticket can be assigned to a bank contactless payment card and the Suwałki Communication Card.

How to check the validity of a ticket?

1. press the "Check Ticket Validity" buton,
2. put your payment card on the card reader located directly under the touch screen of the validator, payment card or Suwałki Communication Card.
3. the device will connect to the Central System and present information about the tickets you currently have.

You can also mark a paper ticket using a 2D code in the validation machine. The ticket can be purchased at points of sale in Suwałki.

How to validate a paper ticket?

1. tap the 2D code on the scanner directly below the touchscreen,
2. the device will read data from the 2D code and connect to the central system to verify that the ticket has not yet been validated. If the ticket has not been validated earlier, the device will provide information about the validation result.

You can also check if your paper 2D code ticket is still valid in a valid mahine. The ticket can be purchased at points of sale in Suwałki.

How to check the validity of a paper ticket with a 2D code?

1. click the "Check ticket expiration" buton,
2. tap the 2D code on the scanner directly below the touchscreen,
3. the device will read data from the 2D code and connect to the central system to verify that the ticket has not yet been validated. If the ticket has not been validated earlier, the device will provide information about the possibility of validating the ticket.
